VR Mixer changes properties of the currently selected line. In order to change volume of another line, make that line selected by choosing its type, change volume and optionally switch back to original line.

Where can I find actual recording sources in Windows ?

Double click volume icon in the system tray or run sndvol32.exe. Chose Options/Properties/Recording and press OK.

Why doesn't VR Mixer let me chose a mixer ?

Most PC's have one sound card and one mixer installed. In rare cases when there's more then one mixer, default mixer (usually index 0) is the one to control sound. Therefore VR Mixer works with the current (default) mixer and reflects its name in a CurrentMixer property.

What is a RetainValues property ?

Applications often need to set volumes and keep them unchanged afterwards. Setting RetainValues to True will preserve current volume, mute, selection for chosen playback and recording sources, as well as master settings.

*Recommended not to use two or more VR Mixer ActiveX's having RetainValues = True as it will cause competitions, - each control trying to preserve its own values.
